While we – I mean, Jas – had been slaving away making some soup for the little princess, she’s been up here in the tower getting naked with Sax. Typical.

How could I be jealous of Sax and Ari when I was in the kitchen with Jas? Tasting him like he was the finest meal I’d ever had? How could I be hurt when we’d been breaking down that final barrier between us so we could open the flood gates into whatever this was between all of us?

Ari is the missing link, the connector bringing the loose ends together, binding us as one.

I climb fully through the window, followed by Jas whose mouth drops open in surprise at Ari’s nakedness, sprawled in our sheets and covered in Sax’s cum. He places the flask of soup down near the fireplace, before moving towards Sax hesitantly.

Sauntering over to the bed, I lean down and kiss Ari. It’s demanding, as I take everything I can from her, drawing out a hungry little whimper from our little dove as I suck, bite and nibble the delectable morsel.

Pulling away with a sound of satisfaction, I give Sax a lazy smirk before I reach for one of his horns and use it to yank him to me as I kiss him the same way. After all, weren’t we all in this together? A family.

Turning back, I grab Ari’s chin and squeeze her cheeks so her lips pout slightly. I can tell by the flash in her eyes, she doesn’t know whether to be angry or turned on. “Does this mean you’re ready to let me fuck you, princess?”

Kicking out, she catches my knee, bringing me to the floor beside the bed. “I told you not to call me that.”

“Fine, fine. I won’t call you that again. Princess is much too sweet for you anyway.” Raising my hands in surrender with a chuckle, I concede. “You’re more like a little hellion.”

“Why must you always be antagonistic?” Jas sighs, as Sax pulls him in for a kiss and Ari reaches out to link her hand with his.

“Because our little gargoyle likes to be punished.” Sax laughs. “Brat.”

I wink at him and perch myself on the end of the bed. Looking at the three of them sitting together, in the space we’ve made our home…it does things to me. My chest feels like there are feral squirrels running around going apeshit. None of that butterflies-in-stomach shit, this is so much more.

“Phht!” I say with a lazy wave of my hand. “Let’s go back to talking about the fucking.”

Arianwen shakes her head, tendrils of white silver hair loose and falling around her face like strands of spun moonlight.
